Jiří Herynek was the laureate of the Olga Havel Award 2007.
The Olga Havel Award was given to Jiří Herynek on the 14th of May 2007, in the Aula of the Czech College of Technology – Bethlehem chantry. The opening was led by Rector Václav Havlíček, the cultural programme included a performance of bands Musica ad Tabulam, Bambini di Praga, and Choir led by Blanka Kulínská, who sang Czech, Moravian, and Slovak folk songs.
The Olga Havel Award 2007 was given to Jiří Herynek from Proseč u Skutče, who lightened up a brown spot on the map. In an abandoned building of the former national company Elektropraga Hlinsko he established a social firm Ergotep for people with difficulties to access the market. Mr..Jiří Herynek is also chairman of a football club in Prosek, publishes the Prosek news magazine, and regularly attends abilympics in Pardubice. Jiří Herynek was born with handicap of his upper and lower limbs. He is married and has two kids.
