Self-help group Zrcadlo (Mirror) was awarded the Olga Havel Award 2005.

The Ceremony was held on the 9th of May 2005, at the TOP HOTEL Prague. The Award was given to a self-help group Zrcadlo. Its members are people who, regarding their personal experience with mental disorders, decided to help others with their handicap. Zrcadlo was established 5 years ago, with a goal to monitor the quality of social services provided by the Association Focus Prague, and protect the interests of its users. Since 2002, the Group has been regularly organizing events for people with chronic mental illnesses – patients of the Psychiatric facility Bohnice. It provides them with informal social contact, prepares them for meetings with their family members and colleagues, informs of other relevant forms of services and opportunities to rehabilitate. It helps patients with their self-esteem, which is usually very low after returning to normal life.
