Annual Report on activities of the Committee of Good Will – Olga Havel Foundation in 2020

We published a report on activities of the Committee of Good Will – the Olga Havel Foundation during 2020.

The year 2020 was extraordinary for our foundation in many ways. Above all, we were remembering 30 years since the founding of our organization. Although the number of events decreased due to the pandemic, we managed to expand our existing endowment support with two emergency funds. We provided financial support to organizations that care for those who were most at risk from the pandemic crisis. We also distributed material assistance: disinfection, cleaning products and IT equipment.

Last year, we established close cooperation with the Prague City Hall and we created a fund that supports people at risk of losing their homes. During the year, we helped 18 families who would otherwise lose roofs over their heads.

With our partners, the OSF Foundation and the Scout Institute, we continued to support the development of civil society, and with the newly established Pallium Institute, we focused on the development of child palliative care.

Last year, we helped 1,161 people in need and provided contributions to the development of social services in 503 non-profit organizations.

We thank all our donors and partners for standing by us during the year.

„We wish that the right for dignified life is also enjoyed by those who live with handicap or mental illness, abandoned and old people, those who have a different skin colour or a different way of life, those in poverty or attacked by a malignant disease.“ Olga Havel
