We published a report on activities of the Committee of Good Will – the Olga Havel Foundation during 2022.
In 2022, the Olga Havel Foundation's Good Will Committee continued its activities in the traditional programmes aimed at supporting disadvantaged students (Education Fund, Nikola Tesla Scholarships), continued to help people at risk of losing their housing (Housing Support Fund, First Roof) and continued to help all the disadvantaged (Pathways to Integration, Ordinary Life). Similarly, the Foundation has financially supported organisations caring for the elderly and terminally ill (Palliative Care, Senior), families caring for a child with a neurological condition (Cerebral Palsy Relief Fund), and organisations helping children with asthma and allergies (Sasakawa Asthma Fund).
Together with the OSF Foundation and the Scout Institute, the Committee of Good Will - Olga Havel Foundation continued to administer the Active Citizens Fund program as part of a consortium, which aims to activate citizens, empower disadvantaged groups, develop advocacy and watchdog activities, and strengthen the digital competencies of organizations. The Foundation has also supported civil society through the Give a Heart appeal, which aims to engage young people.
The year 2022 was marked by the War in Ukraine. After the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, the Foundation decided to immediately get involved in helping those fleeing the war. In addition to material donations, which were collected in the first days of the conflict thanks mainly to generous donors, the Foundation's Board of Directors allocated funds to finance activities related to the aftercare of refugees from Ukraine (the Fund for Support of Organizations Caring for Refugees from Ukraine).
In 2022, assistance was directed to 295 organisations and 1,332 individuals.
