The presidential couple Eva and Petr Pavel ceremonially plant the Olga Havel Tree at Prague Castle

Join the ceremony, which will take place on 10 November at 14:00 in the Deer Moat at Prague Castle! The President of the Republic Petr Pavel, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Vojtěch Sedláček, the Director of the Foundation Monika Granja and Olga's close friend Anna Freimanová will address the participants of the memorial meeting. The song for Olga will be sung by its author Aneta Langerová accompanied by Jakub Zitko and the Maranatha Gospel Choir.

Five years ago, 85 Olga Havel Trees were planted at ceremonial meetings across the country in honour of her then-untimely 85th birthday. The Foundation followed up with the planting of five more Olga Havel Trees in the anniversary year of 2023. The last of them will be planted at Prague Castle. Each of the meetings at the newly planted Olga Havel Tree is connected with one of the areas that were crucial for Mrs. Olga and to which the Foundation is systematically devoted. At Prague Castle, the topic will be "Psychological help for children", which is also very close to the current First Lady Eva Pavlová.

Memorial meetings in honour of Olga will be held at Olga Havel Trees throughout the Czech Republic during 2023. So far, 51 of them have taken place and all of them are united by the Song for Olga. It is performed by solo singers, school choirs and choirs of primary art schools. It will be sung in Jelení příkop by its author Aneta Langerová with piano accompaniment by Jakub Zitko and the Maranatha Gospel Choir.

At the meeting place near the newly planted Olga Havel Tree, participants will learn more about the Foundation's activities and about the extraordinary collection Gift for Olga, which aims to raise a symbolic CZK 900 000 to help disadvantaged people in the year of Olga's 90th birthday.
